Meyer Lemon is believed to be a cross between a lemon and a mandarin. It became the darling of home gardeners and chefs because it fruits on a compact tree almost continuously, tolerates containers, and tastes better than anything you can buy at a supermarket.
Richer, sweeter, and less sharp than commercial lemons with a thin skin and an almost orange-lemon fragrance. The thin rind means more juice per fruit.
